Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the relationship between Alobar Studio ("we", "us", "our") and any client ("you") purchasing web design services through alobarstudio.com. By placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Alobar Studio is a web design agency run by Oliver Mansell, based in Brighton, UK. You can contact us at hello@alobarstudio.com.

We provide professional website design and development services for small businesses, including:

• Website design and development to an agreed specification.
• Deployment to a live URL.
• A number of revision rounds as specified in the purchased package (see Revisions below).
• Handover of all access credentials and assets on completion.

The exact scope of each project is confirmed via email after payment. Any work outside the agreed scope may be subject to additional charges, agreed in writing in advance.

We guarantee delivery of a first preview of your website within 7 calendar days of receiving all required content from you, including but not limited to: logo, brand colours, copy (text), images, and any specific requirements.

The 7-day clock starts when we confirm receipt of all necessary content — not from the date of payment.

If we fail to deliver a first preview within 7 calendar days of receiving your complete content brief, you are entitled to a full refund. Refund requests must be made within 14 days of the missed deadline. This does not affect your statutory rights.

The guarantee does not apply where delays are caused by factors outside our control, including late or incomplete content submission by the client.

Payment is required in full before work begins. All prices are listed in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

We currently offer the following packages: Starter (£599), Business (£999), and Custom (deposit from £750 with remainder invoiced on project agreement). Prices are subject to change but will always be confirmed before payment.

The number of revision rounds included depends on the package purchased:

• Starter (£599): 1 revision round.
• Business (£999): 3 revision rounds.
• Custom: as agreed in writing before work begins.

A revision round means a consolidated set of changes submitted in a single message. Additional revision rounds beyond the included allowance are available at £75 per round, agreed in advance.

To allow us to deliver your project on time, you agree to:

• Provide all required content (text, images, logos) within 14 days of payment.
• Respond to preview requests and feedback rounds within 5 business days.
• Ensure all content you provide is accurate and that you have the rights to use it.

Failure to provide content within 14 days may result in the project being placed on hold. Projects inactive for 60 days may be closed without refund.

Following completion of your website, we offer optional monthly care plans covering hosting, maintenance, and content updates. These are separate from the one-off build fee and are governed by the following terms.

Billing: Care plans are billed monthly in advance via recurring payment through Stripe. Your subscription begins on the date of your first payment.

Cancellation: You may cancel your care plan at any time with 30 days' written notice to hello@alobarstudio.com. We will continue to host your site for the remainder of the 30-day notice period. No refunds are issued for partial months.

On cancellation: We will provide a full export of your website files and all associated credentials within 5 business days of the notice period ending. After this point, we are not responsible for hosting or availability.

Domain ownership: Your domain name is always registered in your name. We manage DNS on your behalf during an active care plan, but you retain full ownership and control at all times.

Content updates: Updates included in your plan must be used within the calendar month — they do not roll over. Updates are limited to changes to existing content (text, images, prices). New pages or structural redesigns are quoted separately.

Price changes: We reserve the right to adjust care plan pricing with 60 days' written notice. You may cancel without penalty during this notice period.

On receipt of full payment, all design assets and code produced specifically for your project are assigned to you. You own your website.

We retain the right to display your completed website in our portfolio and marketing materials unless you request otherwise in writing.

Any third-party assets (fonts, stock images, plugins) are subject to their own licences, which we will notify you of during the project.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Alobar Studio's total liability to you in connection with any project shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that project.

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss of data. We are not responsible for third-party services (hosting, domain registrars, payment processors) or their downtime.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
